Grades to be taken (3 maximum)
Main parameters to be evaluated
– Rhythm and timing
– Posture
– Correct execution of the steps
Grades
(40 bars each dance)
1 – Basic Reel and Light Double Jig
2 – Basic Slip Jig and Single Jig
3 – Primary Reel and Basic Heavy Jig
4 – Primary Slip Jig and St. Patrick’s Day
5 – Advanced Reel, Basic Hornpipe and Walls of Limerick
6 – Advanced Slip Jig, The Blackbird and The Siege of Ennis
7- Advanced Heavy Jig, Garden of Daisies and Four Hand Reel
8 – Advanced Hornpipe, Job of Journeywork and Humors of Bandon
9 – Two modern sets, one in 6/8 time and the other in 2/4 or 4/4 time and High Cauled Cap
10-Two modern set dances, one in 6/8 time and the other in 2/4 or 4/4 time (different from those in Grade 9), The Eight Hand Jig
Costs and payment:
– Grade 1, 2, 3: €20 each
– Grade 4, 5, 6: €28 each
– Grade 7, 8, 9, 10: €38 each
Grade exams
«Grade exams» is an individual certification system organized and approved by An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha, for the interest of all Irish dancers. The path of Grades consists of 12 levels of increasing technical difficulty, each one consists at least of two dances. Each Grade is insependently certificated as a result of an individual examination, non competitive, that will give the candidate a feedback on her/his strenghts and aspects to be improved. Once the dancer has passed the 12 Grades, she/he will receive the «Diploma of the Irish Dancing Commission».

Iscrizione:
– Per allievi Gens d’Ys, iscrizione solo tramite il proprio insegnante entro il 29 febbraio 2024
– Per allievi di altre scuole, iscrizione solo tramite il proprio TCRG/RTMF inviando una mail a info@gensdys.it entro il 4 marzo 2024

– Livello 1, 2, 3: €20 cad.
– Livello 4, 5, 6: €28 cad.

Grade Exams:
«Grade Exams» è un sistema di certificazione individuale organizzato ed approvato dalla An Coimisun Le Rinci Gaelacha, che interessa tutti i ballerini di danze irlandesi. Il percorso dei Grades è composto da 12 livelli di difficoltà tecnica crescente, ciascuno composto da almeno due danze. Ogni livello viene certificato autonomamente a seguito di un esame individuale, non competitivo, che darà al candidato un riscontro sui suoi punti di forza e sugli aspetti da migliorare. I Grades, da superare in modo consequenziale, porteranno, superato il 12° livello, al conseguimento del «Diploma of the Irish Dancing Commission».
